Hi there. My name is Ladan, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I have been passionate about mental and emotional health for as long as I can remember, without realizing I could make it my profession. Throughout my life, I have worked with this passion in some capacity until learning about the counseling route during undergrad. Once I became familiar with the mental health programs, I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Argosy University and went on to earn my master's degree in clinical mental health from Mercer University in 2012. For the next several years, I worked as an associate licensed professional counselor providing individual and group therapy in the community to children, adolescents, and adults struggling with various issues, including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma, and behavioral issues. I became fully licensed in 2016, continued providing therapy in the community, and added various assessments to my practice. During this time, I found a passion for working with individuals in crisis and providing crisis assessments, counseling, and intervention. Throughout my career, I have experienced many approaches and avenues in providing mental health treatment, but the one thing that has remained constant is my desire to help those who want to make a change in their lives. I believe we all need support, and that can come in many forms. I feel grateful that I can be that support to my clients. Person-centered therapy is the foundation of my practice because I understand that you are the expert in your life. This approach, partnered with structured therapy (Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy), can be very helpful in one's personal growth, and I look forward to continuing this journey with you.
