I have a client-centered approach in working with clients. This means I follow the individual’s lead in the therapy process. We identify strengths and skills that are present and look to build on these skills to increase self-awareness and to develop their capacity to change. I have an MA in Art Therapy in addition to my clinical psychology training. In my experience, engaging in a creative process, for some individuals, can be a helpful way to externalize a problem or issue. The creative process can also be a safe outlet for emotion that may not be easy to access with language. I have been in private practice in North Seattle since 2008 and have enjoyed working with a variety of clients over the years from diverse backgrounds. I live in Seattle, with my family, and in my free time I enjoy backpacking, spending time with my dog, being creative and travel with family and friends.
