“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
― Rumi
I met my first therapist when I was six years old, I had lost my best friend in kindergarten to brain cancer and my parents wanted to make sure I had someone to talk to about it. I did not enjoy going to therapy and I never felt connected to my therapist. This prevented me from ever wanting to return to therapy growing up. Twelve years later, as an adult, I met a therapist who changed my life and inspired me to want to be able to do the same for others. My personal experience with therapy has helped me to understand how essential the connection between therapist and patient is, and that it cannot be forced. I tailor my practice to the individual, meet them where they are in the moment, and I strive to create a safe environment to promote healing and awareness. I am not the expert on you, you are the expert on you. I am solution focused and strengths based in my practice. I grew up in New York City so I am straight to the point, but will meet you with compassion and empathy. I am here to help you on your journey, that begins with one step. Seeking out help is an incredible first step. I am honored to be able to be a small part of your journey.
Open to working with adolescents ages 13 and older.
