I am from Tbilisi, Georgia. New York has been my home for 20+ years and I have so much to thank for to this amazing City. I worked as a waitress through my schooling, and I can say that it was already in some ways practicing the basic therapeutic skills: good listening, treating everyone with respect, meeting each customer’s specific needs (ex: regarding dietary restrictions) and developing positive relationships with them. My Approach Maya Angelou’s quote: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better” is my personal mantra and I emphasize it in my work with my clients. I also understand that our best can be different on each day, since we are vulnerable living beings. Loving- kindness and compassion guide my professional and daily life as well. In therapeutic process I invite people on the journey of self-knowledge and self-understanding that can create self-kindness and personal growth.
