After working as an ABA therapist with children with autism, I realized there was a need for comprehensive mental health services for the entire family. Being part of the LGBTQIA+ population and as a first-generation Mexican-American, I have firsthand experience with the lack of mental health support for marginalized communities. As I began my own journey of healing through therapy, I realized the power and benefits of mental health services. I have worked with nonprofits, school-based therapy, and private practice for the last several years. I have completed specialized training in CBT, family systems, attachment theory, the Gottman Method, and mindfulness therapy. I also have experience working with individuals with trauma, ranging from sexual abuse to domestic violence.
I believe that continuing education is essential to becoming a better therapist. I have participated in courses on CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+ issues and interventions, and the Gottman Method.
Open to working with children/adolescents 13 years of age or older.
