Hi there! My name is Maquira Oliver. I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing within the Metro Detroit area. I have been practicing in the mental health field for 20+ years. My undergrad education was completed at Oakland University. I obtained my master’s degree in social work from Wayne State University. My passion is in assisting individuals, families, and groups with healing from trauma. I believe that we may not recognize our traumas due to living with them for so long. Depression, anxiety, and transitioning through life’s stressors are challenges that I assist in overcoming by teaching healthy coping skills. My approach is client centered and strength based. This means YOU lead the direction of your services. It is my mission to strengthen your core while building a trusting therapeutic relationship.
