I am a licensed mental health counselor with a strong focus on working with individuals who are experiencing complex trauma. Exposure to complex trauma can consist of experiences of the following: childhood abuse, childhood neglect, abandonment, domestic violence, emotional abuse, and mental abuse. As a result, this can cause individuals to experience a variety of mental health symptoms of anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, anger, mood disorders, and or the inability to make decisions. It can also cause strain on our quality of life such as impacting the relationships (personal, intimate, immediate family, family systems, and professional) around us. Counseling will focus on discovering who we should be and want to be. Building healthy boundaries with ourselves and others. Gaining strong introspection on our past challenges to recreate a new meaning. Build confidence in our own true values. Understanding what our psychological needs are so we can fully heal from past traumas.
