I am trained as rehabilitation counselor which includes treating medical illness or disability, mental health, and addiction or alcoholism. I have specialized training in post traumatic stress disorder and dissociative identity disorder. Much of my work involves disability assessments and treatment designed for return to work. Many of my patients want explanations about their issues, what they are called, how they impact their lives, employment, and relationships. They want to learn coping skills not only to treat their symptoms but to prevent relapse.
