I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Santa Monica, CA. My background in multicultural psychology, Psychoanalysis, and Existential philosophy reflects the range of interests and skills I bring to my work. I work with individuals and families struggling with addiction-related problems, and mood and personality disorders. I also work with couples who are in highly conflicted marriages.
My style is grounded in empathy, listening, and compassion, central to building a trusting alliance. I offer trauma-informed psychotherapy. I believe that we all have the potential to heal from early wounds, repressed emotions, and adverse experiences that advance the possibility of a conscious and vibrant life. My philosophy is to assist my patients in breaking free from stuck pain, guilt, and shame. I firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive and not merely survive. The youngest age I am willing to treat is 14 years old.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga and reading psychoanalytic literature.
