I am originally from Chicago, growing up 12 miles outside the city and being the person others came to when they needed to talk. I was known for listening and doing what I could to offer help. My family difficulties and interactions with crisis counselors working with teens and seeing the difference counselors made created a great impression on me. I learned early on compassion and empathy and how to not be judgmental and to treat everyone kindly and with patience.
I know in my space I want to provide a safe environment for one to be open and honest about difficulties, learn new ways to cope and know they deserve and can have the life they dream of including being fulfilled in many ways. I want to assist others in understanding how to accept that anxiety, depression and grief do not need to control one’s life. My goal is for each client to have a positive experience, feeling they have someone to trust and share personal information with. I want my clients to take away helpful skills for a long happy life.
