Hello! My name is Rose Jimenez-Jones (my pronouns are she/her/hers) and I identify as a proud Mexican-American, cis-gender woman, heterosexual, and an advocate for those within the Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities (BIPOC), the LGBTQIA+, and those who have multiple marginalized identities who have been historically disenfranchised. I myself grew up in poverty and have experienced many obstacles, and my resilience has helped me overcome those barriers. I believe my life experience allows me to connect with folx from different backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. I have experience working with individuals impacted by depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, domestic violence, complex trauma, substance abuse, poverty and other disorders.
I use multicultural, culturally sensitive, gender-affirming, LGBTQIA-affirming, anti-oppressive, and evidenced based treatment modalities as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Seeking Safety.
