"Daring greatly means the courage to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you're feeling. To have the hard conversations." - Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW It takes courage to show up for therapy and my goal as a therapist is to provide space to allow expression and processing of emotion, grief, and struggle wherever you are at today. If you are ready to make some change in order to improve your overall life experience, you have come to the right place. My name is Sarah Adams and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 12 years of experience in various clinical and healthcare settings with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults of all backgrounds. I emphasize a person-centered approach to supporting clients through coping with stress and anxiety, complex grief and loss, depression, caregiver stress and fatigue, life changes, workplace challenges, relationships/parenting, and living with serious illness. I have also spent time supervising and mentoring others in healthcare as they cope with daily stress and secondary trauma. I offer an integrated approach to therapy through a range of modalities depending on the needs of each client to to help with achieving goals and enhancing personal growth. I often utilize the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to help clients explore their own thoughts and behaviors and how they may contribute to symptoms of anxiety or depression or even challenges within their relationships with others. I would love a chance to meet with you and dive into how we can start working toward your journey of self-improvement. Please grab a warm cup of coffee or tea, a comfortable spot in your home, and join me for a session!
