In the early to mid 1990s, when I was in my 20’s and contemplating my future, two realities became clear to me: 1) the “world” was hurting and 2) I wanted to make a difference in it! Welcome to youth, right? At the time, there was a great person in my life who helped me understand my gifting and choose the profession of counseling — i.e., how to come along side people who are stuck, hurting, or just in need of some help sorting things out!
Fast forward 23 years of working in the mental health field, I’ve treated a broad range of emotional and behavioral conditions on the mental health spectrum. I’ve been privileged to work within a global network of care providers, counting everything from psychiatric inpatient treatment to private practice to cross cultural clinic (3 countries in Asia) based work to tele-health among those people and organizations that have poured into and shaped my unique model of care.
I can help just about anybody with anything, but some of my specialties are… depression, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, cross cultural stress integration and engagement, pre-marriage counseling, grief/bereavement and conflict resolution/mediation.
