A mind is a powerful tool. It can be your best friend or your worst enemy. It is the key that unlocks the door to happiness, peace, and health. Let me help you be the director of your thoughts and guide you towards positive outcomes in your life.
My name is Sharon Guerin, and for the past 13 years I have helped individuals reach their goals of a fulfilled life by using evidence-base modalities and offering a safe place for them to grow. My primary goal as a therapist is to offer a safe, open, and non-judgmental space where you can process personal life challenges and channel your inner strengths.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who earn a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. I have worked in the mental health field for more than 20 years with over 13 years’ experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. I work with adolescents and adults. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, relationships, adjustment issues, grief/loss, PTSD, trauma, occupational stress, self-esteem, and women issues. The modalities I adhere to are eclectic and include cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology.
I enjoy helping individuals recognize that they can truly reach their fullest potential. I specifically enjoy supporting individuals in building valuable coping skills, developing effective communication styles, setting healthy boundaries, and incorporating self-compassion into their daily lives. I believe changes may only occur when we are honest with ourselves and willing to open our minds to explore new strategies that will take us on a pathway to happiness. A brighter future is ahead for you, let it begin today.
Open to working with children/adolescents 16 years and older.
