Hello name is Shirley Johnson, and I am a licensed counselor and the owner of Solutions & Possibilities LLC, a cozy counseling private practice nestled on the side of my home in Gahanna, Ohio. The mission of Solutions & Possibilities LLC is to “partner with you to find realistic solutions with exciting possibilities.” I specialize in working with individuals with both mental health and substance use counseling needs. I have an eclectic style of counseling, drawing from behavioral therapies, faith-based, and I am also trained in eye movement, desensitization, and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), with added tools for trauma-focused treatment. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and I studied psychology and sociology at The Ohio State University. In addition, I obtained my master’s degree in mental health counseling at Capella University. I have worked with diverse populations with behavioral health conditions in a variety of treatment settings. I aspire to use my skills and gifts as a counselor to foster healing and meaningful change. On a personal note: I enjoy spending time at home with her three large dogs and watching documentaries and other true-life stories.
