I am a licensed psychologist who helps clients with anxiety/panic, stress, depression, emotional takeovers, low self-esteem, self-critical thinking, and relationship issues. I especially have a passion for helping people overcome the effects of childhood trauma and dysfunction within their family of origin. I see everyone as being the best expert in their own lives with an inherent capacity to overcome any challenge they face. That said, sometimes when the storms of life hit, one can become overwhelmed and lose touch with their inner knowing. I aim to reconnect clients with their wisdom and foster resilience so that they can lead a more fulfilling life and achieve their aspirations. I want my clients to gain greater clarity of who they are and what their needs are, develop more effective coping skills, develop greater confidence in their abilities and decisions, and foster healthier and more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. My style is client-centered, meaning collaborative, open-minded, supportive, and empathic, who sees a client’s potential for growth and self-actualization. I draw upon theories and techniques of psychodynamic, attachment-based, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and solutions-focused therapies. It is a great privilege to accompany you along your journey.
