About Me My name is Vanessa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience. I am licensed in Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Carolina. Originally from New York, I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from Florida International University and have lived in Florida with my family for over 20 years. Professional Background My clinical journey in mental health began during my undergraduate studies and continued through graduate school, working in the public sector with the Department of Children & Families. In that role, I supported children, adolescents in group homes, and older adults in skilled nursing facilities. I later expanded my work to medical social work, providing counseling and nurse navigation for oncology patients at one of South Florida’s largest cancer hospitals. I have also supported adults in inpatient rehabilitation for substance use and court-ordered treatment, as well as served outpatient clients in the LGBTQ+ community. My Approach I am passionate about educating and empowering clients to better understand their mental health. My goal is to help clients return to a sense of balance and well-being, creating a life they are comfortable with and able to navigate effectively.
