I am from Miami, FL where I grew up in a Bilingual (Spanish) household amongst a culturally rich and diverse community of immigrants. As a first generation American from immigrant parents, I have a deep appreciation for connection to one’s culture and how it can shape a person’s strengths and weaknesses.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in an underserved school tutoring high school students. Spending the year with them, learning more about them and motivating them to succeed in school, really highlighted for me the resiliency people exhibit and the importance of social-emotional well being in achieving your goals. This inspired me to get my Master’s in Social Work.
I believe in the potential of every person and my approach is to focus on your strengths to get there. Therapy is a partnership where you are the expert in your experience and I can help you be your best self to get there.
Open to working with children age 10 and older.
