I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I saw several movies with therapist as the main character. I believe change happens when we all work together to help each other. Clients who get the most out of therapy with me are clients with variety of different issues and concerns. Three words that describe my style are cultural competency, empathy and effective listening skills. Something about me that is unique is I have ran several 10K and 5K races and running is a hobby and passion of mine. What influences me to do the work do is striving be the best person I can be and helping others to do the same. I grew up as a Army brat as my Dad was in the Army and he retired after 20 years in the service. I got to see the world and the country and that has shaped my world views.

I use a whole-person, strengths-based approach to therapy and offer a non-judgmental, safe space where clients come to be completely themselves. It is my goal that each client feels seen, heard, understood and supported. Usually, this means that all aspects of the client's personal identity, including culture, medical and social history, as well as what they believe to be true about themselves are taken into consideration. Collaboratively we'll establish what a successful outcome could look like, and formulate the appropriate plans to achieve it.

Hello, my name is Tracy Faust and I have been practicing Psychotherapy with those of nearly all ages for over twenty years. I earned my Master of Arts from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI in 2000 and have been full time in the field ever since. For over thirteen of those years my experience was in a community mental health center, providing outpatient therapy, case management and advocacy to those residing in that area, as well as crisis services to all in need, whether residents or visitors. For over six years following that, I worked with children and families providing in-home psychotherapy, both individually with the identified client as well as family-based with parents and siblings. Just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown, I found online options to work from home, providing psychotherapy virtually, and have been doing so ever since. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you, and hope to hear from you soon!
