Hello - I have been a therapist for over 30 years. After graduating with my Master's Degree from Columbia University in NY, my first job was working in foster care, bringing families back together. Since then I have worked with people from all walks of life and all kinds of cultures. I consider therapy to be a partnership between two people with the goal of clarifying how the client wants to live their best life. Once we know where the client wants to go it's all a matter of figuring out how to get there. Working as a team makes understanding one's self much easier.

Therapist

Addictions, Anger Management, Depression, Generalized Anxiety, Grief, PTSD, Relationship Issues, Substance & Alcohol Abuse, Trauma

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with extensive experience in outpatient and community behavioral health settings, including integrated co-occurring disorder programs. I support individuals and couples working through trauma, anxiety, addiction issues—including alcohol use, porn and internet overuse, and other compulsive behaviors—and relationship challenges. I enjoy couples work and often use Gottman-informed methods to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and reconnect. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and SAFEMDR, an attachment-informed EMDR model that supports safe and steady trauma processing. In an EAP setting, I focus on clear goals, practical tools, and effective short-term strategies. Above all, I want you to feel understood, supported, and empowered without judgment as we work toward meaningful change.
