Hello and welcome! I’m Veronica Sandoval, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in providing support to people who are navigating the loss of a loved one, those who are living with a chronic or terminal illness (or supporting a loved one who is), bipoc individuals navigating the intersections of their native and dominant cultures, people who suffer from PTSD, and victims/survivors of domestic violence. I also specialize in providing support to first responders and healthcare professionals. My professional journey spans diverse settings, including outpatient mental health services and primary and specialty medical social work in level 1 trauma hospitals. In my therapeutic approach, I individualize treatment based on the client’s needs. I draw from a strengths-based perspective, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Existential & Narratives Therapies. I also frequently use some Solution Focused Brief Therapy as well, to support you on your mental health journey. A native Oregonian, I treasure moments spent at the Oregon Coast any chance I get. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and love my cuddle sessions with my pups. My firm belief lies in the inherent potential for healing within every individual, provided they receive the right support and tools. I am profoundly honored to accompany you on your unique path towards healing and personal growth.

Although I believe therapy is a collaborative effort, I believe in the importance of tailoring therapy to individual needs of the client. I don’t believe there is a one size fits therapy. I feel my role is to help provide a different lens into your life, using strength based practices and solution focused techniques. I have worked in crisis mental health for over 15 years and in the general field of counseling for over 20. Therefore I have experience with a variety of issues including mood disorders, personality disorders, crisis situations or symptoms and severe long term diagnoses. I am honored to be allowed to be involved in one’s journey through life. I have received my BA from University of California, Irvine, and my MA from George Fox University. I believe in the importance of having a holistic lens through both my professional and personal life. Self-care is important for everyone with nature being a frequent and part of my self-care. Open to working with children 6 years and older.

Hi! I’m a mom, wife, and a lifelong learner with a deep appreciation for both the big and small joys in life. I have lived the majority of my life in the Boise, Idaho area and grew up in Denver, Colorado. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me crocheting, paddle boarding, practicing yoga, walking, or just soaking in time with friends and family—especially in the mountains. I’m also a big fan of my fur babies, the calming sound of the ocean, and the irresistible allure of tacos! My Approach to Therapy I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and discover deeper self-awareness when they are given a safe and compassionate space to do so. In our work together, my goal is to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to create a personalized plan that aligns with you—your needs, your pace, and your goals. Whether you’re looking to understand yourself better, work through past challenges, or navigate difficult emotions, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll uncover blind spots, process feelings, and explore new perspectives that empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. Ultimately, I’m here to walk beside you as you move toward greater self-discovery and a more fulfilling, balanced life.

“Everything you’ve faced so far, you have survived. I believe it is within reach to not only survive but thrive”. People often say my “casual style” and “attention to detail” helps others quickly feel comfortable opening up and sharing their story. I am passionate about seeing others thrive in growth and happiness. I use a combination and personalized approach to counseling to help each person discover the power within themselves to experience positive change as needed. I specialized experience in counseling those participating in medication assisted treatment such as methadone and suboxone, and my prior military, medical, teaching, and coaching experience allows me to diversify therapeutic approaches. Common approaches used are CBT, Person-Centered, and integrated wellness approaches to incorporate physical and emotional wellness components. I have experience in substance/MAT, nutrition, weight loss, chronic medical, sleep disorder concerns.

You’ve been carrying a lot. Maybe it’s anxiety that won’t quiet down, a heaviness that makes it hard to get through the day, or relationship stress that leaves you feeling disconnected and alone. Whatever it is, something isn’t working—and you’re ready for change. Therapy is a space where you can take off the mask, speak the truth, and not be judged for it. It’s for sorting through the thoughts that keep you up at night, making sense of the patterns that keep repeating, and finally feeling like someone truly hears you. You don’t have to have all the answers—just a willingness to look at what’s really going on. Here, your values, your experiences, and your goals shape the path forward. It’s not about being fixed—it’s about being supported as you navigate life’s challenges with more clarity, strength, and self-trust. An integrative, evidence-based approach means therapy is tailored to fit you. Whether you're overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, stuck in cycles you can't break, or simply searching for a deeper sense of self, you’ll find practical tools, meaningful insight, and compassionate guidance every step of the way. You deserve support that meets you where you are—and helps you get where you want to be.
