“An Arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back, it means that it is going to launch you into something great.” Life has its way of pulling us backward, but I believe with positive support, healthy coping skills and processing through things that are dragging you back; you can learn to thrive and launch yourself into greater things. I have worked in the mental health field for over ten years. Throughout my time working in mental health I have worked with clients with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders and substance and alcohol use disorders. My greatest skill as a therapist is being able to work with clients and help them feel accepted, heard and understood. I have been trained in many therapy modalities and use these skills to help clients learn coping skills to better manage and cope with daily stress and symptoms they have previously suffered from. I believe change is possible.

Helping people is my passion. I am easy to open up to and give individuals a safe place to share their past, present and hopes for the future. We don't all come into this world knowing everything and this is no different. I help people learn skills to transition from a place that may be unknown into a place where self-esteem and self-worth are their companions. Sometimes it is difficult to navigate the bumpy road and that's where I come in and help. Born and raised in Southwest Louisiana, I welcome people into therapy like a cup of coffee on a front porch. When I am not working, I enjoy Cajun cooking and taking care of my family.

My approach to therapy is purely client centered. I meet each client where they are at and walk with them as we take steps forward toward your desired goal. My first priority is to make sure that my client walks away from each session with a sense of relief. I provide a place where you can lay your heaviest burdens and walk away feeling motivated to continue the work you have started with me. I have been passionate about mental health from a young age! I started working toward my career at Texas A&M University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2013. I went on to pursue my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University and graduated in 2015. I have experience working with all ages as a grief counselor, career counselor, children's counselor, school counselor, and a general counselor for individuals and couples. My passion is working with people. We have all felt sad, lost, or just plain tired. Sometimes, it is hard to know what our next step should be. Maybe you know where you want to be in your life, relationships, or work, but are just not sure how to get there. Let's talk. I offer a safe, and informal therapeutic setting for men, women, and teens to learn about themselves, heal from hurt, and set goals. I spent many years in Denton, working with adolescents and their parents through the school district. Since receiving a master's degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University in 2014, I have worked with individuals to overcome some of the effects of traumatic, hurtful, or confusing events. Open to working with children/adolescents 6 years and older.

I am a Master's Level Clinician in Counseling.I work with families, couples, and individual seeking life change. I also host conversations with men about masculinity. My Ph.D. research is focused on the correlation between epigenetics, ancestral knowledge and family therapy. My theoretical style is a blend of systems theory, depth psychology, and positive psychology. In the tradition of depth psychology, which incorporates the German forefathers of psychology— Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud— and how these theories matriculate in social, religious, cultural, and mythical aesthetics. Personally, I have integrated this psychological knowledge into my love and respect for indigenous cultures that have and continue to educate me as a therapist.
