Hi There, I'm Genobia! My purpose is to help you grow where you see your life being most fulfilled. Growth is challenging, but it’s doable! Aren’t you curious about what is around the corner for you or your family? In therapy, you’ll prioritize doing something “different.” That “different” might be learning to say less and do more (or the opposite). It could be learning about the brain-body connection and finding ways to connect the two. Or it might be using resources you either didn’t know about or were hesitant to use in the past. As a therapist, I’m skilled at finding the best therapy style for you. It might be a cognitive-behavioral style focusing on faulty thinking patterns or a dialectical-behavior style that helps you regulate your emotions and tolerate distress. And if you’ve experienced trauma, I have special training to help you work through it. So, whether you don’t know where to start or have a specific need, I’m here for you!

I view every person as a unique individual with specific goals, perspectives, barriers, and background. Relationships (missing and broken), demands and expectations that lead to letdowns and depression, trauma, undesired repetitive behaviors, refusal to accept things as they are and shame ("something is wrong with me"), vocational issues and struggles, and depression and anxiety are just a few of the common themes I help individuals and families with. I have experience with families, individuals and adult/adolescent groups. My hope is to partner with people with a strong willingness to participate who want restoration. You do not have to do this alone! It is my belief that our best chance at moving through tough times is done best when other people are involved -- we are first and foremost relational beings. I would be grateful and willing to explore what partnership with you on your journey might produce.
