I have been an independent clinician since 2013 and in private practice since 2017. I strive to provide clients with a safe, calm, open therapeutic environment. I believe we are all individuals and there is no one size fits all approach. Therefore, I tailor therapeutic treatments to the need and the goals of my clients. I am painfully aware that some of life’s transitions can be difficult to cope with: be it a loss of a loved one, a new illness, a chronic illness, a disability, depression or just everyday life. Whatever the case may be, we all need help and somebody to talk to during our life’s journey. Some of the conditions I treat include chronic illnesses, disabilities, mental illness, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss. I specialize in working with families who may have a member that is disabled as well as family situations. I am here to help you improve your journey through life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three children.

Are you feeling stuck in negative thoughts, intense emotions, or behavioral patterns that don't serve your best interest? Are you hoping to build more meaning and joy in your life? You may feel hesitant about reaching out for help, especially with pressure from all directions to "have it all together". I'm here to join you on this journey to discover healing and build a balanced life. My goal is to help you find compassion for yourself, develop skills to help you navigate life stressors, and be confident in the resilient person you are. I believe that therapy is not “one size fits all” when it comes to the type of approach that is being used. Although my background and approach is deeply rooted in behavioral approaches, I recognize that therapy needs to be tailored and personalized to help you reach your goals and full potential. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have had the opportunity to work in the mental health and substance abuse field for over 5 years. I am professionally trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I believe we are all unique and pull from multiple theories to best fit each client. I am available Monday through Thursday 3am - 10am.

I think it’s helpful for my clients to know why I do this work. I come from a family with a lot of intergenerational trauma: war refugees, parental abandonment, sexual trauma, addiction, and suicide. My first step on the path to becoming a therapist was learning how to deal with my own anxiety and depression. Working in mental health treatment has led me to an understanding my own inner workings and it continually reminds me of where I can get myself into trouble. What keeps me in this field is a desire to share what I know and help others. My training is rooted in my experiences in wilderness and adventure therapy work. Living in small groups taught me about what it really means to be human. This perspective is beneficial to my clients’ relationships, it informs the self-care habits I teach, and it helps me in explaining why creating meaning guards us from mental health issues. I believe that clients’ unique cultural context and socio-economic experience should inform therapy.

Hi! I’m a mom, wife, and a lifelong learner with a deep appreciation for both the big and small joys in life. I have lived the majority of my life in the Boise, Idaho area and grew up in Denver, Colorado. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me crocheting, paddle boarding, practicing yoga, walking, or just soaking in time with friends and family—especially in the mountains. I’m also a big fan of my fur babies, the calming sound of the ocean, and the irresistible allure of tacos! My Approach to Therapy I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and discover deeper self-awareness when they are given a safe and compassionate space to do so. In our work together, my goal is to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to create a personalized plan that aligns with you—your needs, your pace, and your goals. Whether you’re looking to understand yourself better, work through past challenges, or navigate difficult emotions, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll uncover blind spots, process feelings, and explore new perspectives that empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. Ultimately, I’m here to walk beside you as you move toward greater self-discovery and a more fulfilling, balanced life.

I believe every person has within themselves the power to learn, grow and make changes to the challenges they find themselves facing. Simply reaching out and starting the therapy process is empowerment in action. I offer a highly collaborative approach that aims to understand the difficulties you are facing and your goals for services, creating a plan that we can explore and navigate together. I want you to make choices aligned with your values and what you want to experience differently. Together, we can discover and refine the strengths and resources you have to better serve you and enhance your confidence in decision-making and managing life stressors in healthy and supportive ways. I offer a straight-forward, casual approach with open and honest feedback. I aim to provide a safe and secure place where you feel like you can breath and find compassionate support. I operate from a client-centered lens that focuses on the person and the systems they interact with.
